Please write a professional profile of 500 words.
Professional Summary Description: My professional expertise in quality assurance covers a broad range of different competencies. My main fields of competences include QA consultancy and capacity building, evaluations, institutional quality assurance reviews and program reviews/program accreditation. I have worked in national, international and transnational projects as a consultant and as a project manager.

In national contexts, I have conducted approximately 100 program accreditation procedures across diverse academic disciplines (including humanities, engineering science, philology, sciences, health & care, languages, business administration and economics, social sciences, arts, theology, etc.) and one institutional quality assurance review. The national programs also comprise the accreditation of teacher education, distance education as well as dual programs, further studying programs and extra occupational study programs. In international contexts, I have conducted two program accreditation procedures in Kazakhstan (Ablai Khan University in Almaty), one in Russia (Southern Federal University in Rostov), five in Moldova (different universities), and one in Austria (KMU-Academy in Linz). The base for these accreditation procedures were the European standards and guidelines. My transnational cooperations refer mainly to the accreditation of joint degree-programs and double degree-programs, in total eight programs. The respective partners of the German higher education institutions are allocated in France, Italy, the Netherlands, China and Argentina.

My main focus within AQAS lies in the international field. This focus comprises various fields of responsibility. My most important tasks are:
• the management and conduction of trans- and international accreditation procedures including contract negotiations, support in the preparation of the application and documentation, training of the experts, organization of the on-site visits and moderation of the discussions, support in the writing of the reports, and preparation of the meetings of the accreditation commission of AQAS,
• contact person for the regions Central Asia and Russia as well as deputy contact person for the region East Africa,
• the cooperation in European networks such as the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) or with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD),
• participation at conferences and workshops regarding Quality Assurance and
• the reception of international delegations.

I have language skills in German (mother tongue), English (fluent), Spanish (fluent), Swedish (fluent) and Russian (basic level). I have developed intercultural skills to work in other cultural contexts e.g. through students’ exchange programs, research stays, conferences and workshops abroad as well as in accreditation procedures. I have lived and worked in diverse countries, among others in Sweden, Spain, Malta, South Africa, Canada, Denmark, France, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, and Austria.

Apart from my professional expertise in Quality Assurance, I have also worked in this field from an academic perspective. I investigated both in my master’s dissertation and in my doctoral dissertation different topics on Quality Assurance in higher education. In my master’s dissertation, I compared different national systems of evaluation in higher education. My doctoral dissertation was dedicated to the question of what is actually meant by higher education quality. I investigated the meaning construction processes of this term in different contexts, what relations of power are involved and how the constructed meanings are entangled with specific social practices in higher education.
