Institutional Member Criteria:
Measure: Institutional Members are institutions of higher education in the region that are in good standing with the relevant quality assurance agency if one exists.

Proof of recognition as a Higher Education Institution: Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Professional Learning ?Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University? (hereinafter ? KFU) is one of the leading educational institutions of higher professional learning in the Russian Federation. KFU obtained the status of the Federal University in 2010 and since then has been implementing the Development Program approved by the Government of Russia on September 13, 2010. During this time, KFU has introduced over 370 research and study labs equipped by state-of-the-art technology; new educational and research fields have been identified and massive effort has been put into implementation of the priority areas. According to the results of an open competition the University entered the list of 15 best Russian universities ? participants of ?5:100? ? the Program which stipulated the conditions of the Roadmap for Competitive Growth of KFU aimed at increasing the competitiveness of research and developments as well as upgrading the level of academic programs. This will allow KFU to achieve significant results and become truly international, as it its federal status calls for active interaction with regions and training specialists for various industries. The selected policy will enable the transformation process from classical university into research university with availability of entrepreneur and innovation training.
Since 2012 KFU has started to adopt the quality management system. It allowed to define common policy and goals in quality management, to develop document flow and internal audit system. In February 2013 KFU launched certification process of quality management in compliance with ГОСТ ISO 9001-2011 ?Quality management systems. Requirements? (ISO 9001-2008), which was accomplished by the regional office of Russian Registry association. KFU has the certificate of conformity to the requirements of quality management to the requirements of ГОСТ ISO 9001-2011 (ISO 9001:2008).
