Criteria Requirements for Institutional Member
Institutional Member Criteria:
Measure: Institutional Members are institutions of higher education in the region that are in good standing with the relevant quality assurance agency if one exists.

Proof of recognition as a Higher Education Institution: AWKUM is a newly established University. In a short span of two and half years, the university has managed to have remarkable achievements and the establishment of QEC under the guidelines of HEC is one of them. The AWKUM QEC was established in DEC 2010. The standard of education in Pakistan is not up to the mark of international standards, as our degree is either not accepted or rarely recognized as compared to other countries degree. To fill this gap and to enhance the overall quality of our education system, HEC has set up Quality assurance agency. AWKUM contribute towards overall improvement of education system in the country. The AWKUM QEC is involved in Surveys related to students, Staff and different departments, Capacity building of faculty and staff and the facilitating the Self Assessment Process.
Proof of the organisation’s good standing with the local QA agency: We have a Quality Assurance Agency which is run by Government of Pakistan. We are registered with them since December, 2010. As for as as the benefit of APQN membership is concern, yes definitely it will provide us a platform of interaction with international quality standards. We are already registred with Talloires Network (An international association of institutions committed to strengthening the civic roles and social responsibilities of higher education). We have done so far assessment of eight programs and further is in progress. APQN membership can benefit us in number of ways. We can interact with international agencies and members of APQN regarding good practices of quality assurance. We can exchange queries for improvement of quality education.
