APQN Board Director - Farida Nurmanbetova , Kazakhstan

faridaDr. Farida Nurmanbetova, MD, Dmed.Sc., is Adviser for the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, she was until recently a Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Education/CPD and Clinical Affairs of Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
Dr. Farida Nurmanbetova is Adviser of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and Assessor for the WFME Programme for Recognition of Accrediting Agency for Medical Education.
Dr. Farida Nurmanbetova is Honorary Professor in Karaganda State Medical University and Semey State Medical University (Kazakhstan).
She graduated Almaty State Medical Institute, Kazakhstan in 1986 and obtained her degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences (DmedSc), Clinical Pharmacology (Thesis) at the Federal Biomedicine Agency of Russian Federation, Institute of Toxicology in St. Petersburg, Russia Federation.
She has been involved as an Expert for WHO/EURO Programmes in Central Asia Region and CIS since 1998 and for WHO/WFME Strategic Partnership Programme for Improvement Medical Education in the CIS (Russian Federation, Ukraine, Moldova, Turkmenistan) since 2005.
Dr. Farida Nurmanbetova has contributed to Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Swiss Centre for International Health of Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute’ Projects in Medical Education Reform and Quality Assurance in Medical Education in Tajikistan (2011-2019) and she extensively working as Coordinator and Senior Expert for the World Bank and Kazakhstan Ministry of Health’ Project for Medical Education Reform and National Quality Assurance System in Medical Education. Also, she served the Kazakhstan Ministry of Health for development and monitoring of implementation National Programmes for Improvement Medical Education 2009/2011/2015.
Dr. Farida Nurmanbetova is Reviewer to the Asia-Pacific Quality Register (APQR) and Member of Board Directors (Elected) for the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN).
As Senior Expert of the National Accreditation Centre of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan she contributed to establishing national accreditation system on medical education and implementation the WFME Global Standards for Quality Improvement in Medical Education (BME/PGME/CPD) and ORPHEUS/AMSE/WFME PhD standards in Kazakhstan.
She has contributed to establishing the Centre for Medical Education, Clinical Skills Centre and implementation of the Quality Management System at the Karaganda State Medical University, which has been certified by NQA UK-Russia.
As a Senior Consultant to the Eurasian Centre for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Healthcare (ECAQA) she contributed to establishment of this agency that is a specialized/professional accreditation agency in medicine, biomedicine and health sciences in Kazakhstan.
Dr. Farida Nurmanbetova is an Individual Membership of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) since 2004 and she completed ESME and RESME Courses (with Portfolio and Certificates in Medical Education) that accredited by AMEE (2006/2009).
Her publications and interests are in Faculty Development and Quality Assurance in Medical Education and Healthcare Professions Education.
