Dr Takahiro Saito
Dr Takahiro Saito is an Associate Professor of the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation (NIAD-UE), an independent administrative institution which is conducting evaluation of university education and research activities in Japan. He has engaged in researches and practices of the university evaluation since the first cycle of the NIAD-UE's trial evaluation. Especially, due to his multidisciplinary academic background combining business management techniques and educational planning he had participated the development of the new quality assurance procedures of NIAD- UE and still be in the operation. He has extensive experience in evaluating educational project, including nation-wide expansion of the University of the Air of Japan, introduction of video-conference system to university's classes, establishment of vocational training centers in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand by the Official Development Assistance of Japanese government. He is the leader of the APQN project group on QA of DE/e-learning and also a member of the Asia e-Learning Network WG4: Quality Management/Assurance.
