Message from the Secretariat
Welcome to the website of the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN).
APQN came into being when a group of quality assurance agencies in the region decided that it would be valuable not only to meet in the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), but in the region where the higher education institutions and the quality assurance agencies have a range of common needs and there are many issues in relation to quality assurance of higher education which can usefully be shared. APQN was incorporated in the state of Victoria in Australia in 2004. Currently (August 2007) APQN has 20 full members, eight intermediate members, 15 associate members, four institutional members and three observers.
We appreciate your interest in visiting this website, and hope you find it useful. If you are from within the region, and either would like to join the Network or believe you can help the Network, we would be delighted to hear from you. If you have any ideas how we can improve the website we would appreciate receiving your feedback. This should be sent to the APQN Administrator (apqn@auqa.edu.au).
APQN’s main activities include regular conferences and workshops, project groups, projects and a repository of reviewers and consultants. Information about these activities is available on this website. Project groups are led by members; if you are interested in the work of a project group, project reports and the contact details for project group leaders are available on the website.
The website lists our members, so it is also a useful tool if you need to liaise with colleagues from quality assurance agencies in the region.
